Dear BlogDiary,
"what is worth doing, is worth doing well..."
- Anon.
There i was rolling on my bed, ankle hurting from standing up for so long at work and having to run to catch the bus that i thought was the last bus home. Being woken up by the sounds of lawn mower outside my bedroom window every morning, is something i have gotten so used to. All i wanted was some fresh air at night and early in the morning but what can i do? Moving on...
Still on my bed, sore from last night, i started to question where exactly i went wrong. There and then i realized Karma is definitely for real.
Earlier that day - the day before today-, i did something-not going to say what exactly- rude and uncalled for hoping to go scot-free which i did without the thought that it would later bite me especially on the same day. Anyways, i was able to make it to work hitch-free but my ordeal started just when i was positioned in a particular section at work. i had to clean up the mess made by shoppers, rearrange and keep things tidy till close. To be honest, i actually did my best such that i was proud of myself and asked if i could leave 15mins earlier inorder to catch the supposed last bus. Then came close time and the place i had cleaned up since was already a lil bit messy. I actually worked my nerves to the best i could to restore it back to being neat. I was allowed to go but not without a warning that i wouldn't be released next time if my section wasn't clean. Like come on, who gets a warning on the second day of a new job, if not me !
Anyways i ended up meeting the bus at the stop, actually two buses. I entered the second one with gladness that i caught the bus. 15mins into the ride back home, i was worried that the bus hadn't gotten to my destination. It wasn't until the bus reached a train station at the other end of the city that i realized that i had taken the wrong bus and it would take my 2hrs to get home if i am that lucky. This was where i realized that i forgot my jacket at work and it was freezing outside. And so that was how my journey around one of the dangerous parts of the city back to my house began. a 10mins ride back home became almost 2hrs with missing the train and having to wait for another, running to catch the bus downtown only to realize i had to wait for another 30mins for the next one.
Suffice to say, i was able to get to where i would catch the last bus home safe and sound. Luckily, My sweet mom was worried and came to the bus station where i was just in time to look for me. There i was shivering and almost tearing up. I was so glad to be back home to have dinner and sleep soundly. :)
Never will i repeat such incident and oh i checked the bus schedule and realized that there is actually another bus but i will have to wait for one hour. Thats much better than my last night's ordeal. Anyways Diary, It another day to work. I hope and pray i don't get a second warning and i make it back home safe and sound. Got to go now.. Later ! lots of kisses and love !!! stay safe.
Yours truly,
Oyinda.
